How Winningtemp built a marketing foundation for growth in the Benelux

Challenge

Winningtemp is an employee engagement platform headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. As part of its international growth ambitions, the company wanted to strengthen its presence in the Netherlands and the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium.

To support this expansion, a local marketing strategy was needed, along with market positioning, lead generation activities and marketing materials tailored to the Benelux market.

Approach

As Senior Marketing Consultant, Janet Schouten was responsible for developing and implementing the regional marketing strategy.

Over a nine-month period, the Benelux marketing foundation was built from the ground up, including:

  • Market and competitor research
  • Local positioning and go-to-market strategy
  • Website and content development
  • Sales and marketing materials
  • Social media and lead generation campaigns
  • Event marketing and trade fair participation
  • Collaboration with the international team in Sweden

The focus was on creating a scalable marketing structure that would support future growth in the region.

Results

Within nine months, Winningtemp had a complete marketing foundation in place for the Benelux market.

Key achievements included:

  • A clear market positioning for the Netherlands and Belgium
  • New marketing and sales materials tailored to local audiences
  • Increased brand visibility through campaigns and events
  • A structured approach to lead generation
  • Strong alignment between local activities and the international organisation

The result was a solid platform for growth and a stronger presence in the Benelux market.

Although Winningtemp later decided to shift its international growth priorities and no longer maintain a dedicated Benelux team, the regional marketing structure and market presence were successfully established during the project.
